Yukiya IZUMITA

Yukiya Izumita was born in Rikuzentakada, Iwate in 1966. He studied ceramic under Kokuji-yaki master. He lives in Noda, Iwate and started wood firing from 1998. He got many awards of ceramic competitions. Also, he does solo and group exhibition in Japan, USA and Germany. He opened gallery IZUMITA in 2007. His work is very sensitive like thin Origami but using rough clay. ​ He pursues possibility of expression by clay.
